Story

This quick stir-fry captures the rich, spicy aroma of a hot pot in a simple home-cooked dish. The tofu absorbs the flavorful broth, while wood ear mushrooms and carrot add a pleasant texture. A final splash of sesame oil brings a fragrant warmth to the table.

Ingredients

Tofu 1 piece
Carrot 1 piece
Soaked wood ear mushrooms 5 pieces
Onion 1/5 piece
Cooking oil to taste
Hot pot soup base 1/4 piece
Soy sauce to taste
Salt 1/2 spoon
Thirteen-spice powder to taste
Minced green onion to taste
Garlic cloves 2 pieces
Sesame oil to taste

Step 1

Cut the tofu into pieces, blanch in water, then remove.

Cut the ingredients and set aside.

Heat the wok, add oil, add hot pot base, and stir-fry until red oil appears.

Add carrot and onion, stir-fry until the onion fragrance is released.

Add half a bowl of water; after the water boils, add tofu and wood ear mushrooms. Add salt, thirteen-spice powder, and soy sauce.
