Japanese-Style Ginger Sauce Chicken

Ingredients

chicken leg 1
ginger 3 slices
onion 1/8
cabbage (or lettuce) 2 slices

Instructions

1

Step 1

Prepare all ingredients. Shred the cabbage. Mince the ginger into a paste.

2

Step 2

Marinate the chicken leg meat with ginger paste and other seasonings for at least 30 minutes.

3

Step 3

Add a small amount of oil to the pan, pan-fry the chicken until both sides are golden brown!

4

Step 4

Place the onion under the chicken, wait until it turns translucent, then pour in the remaining marinade.

5

Step 5

Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 3 minutes, until the sauce is almost fully reduced.

6

Step 6

Shred the cabbage or lettuce as finely as possible. Soak in cold water for a short while, then drain and arrange on a serving plate.

7

Step 7

Place the chicken leg on top of the shredded cabbage, drizzle the shredded onion over the chicken, cut a piece to serve — it is tender and juicy!
