Prepare the oven
Preheat the oven to 180°C (Th. 6). Line the bottom and sides of a 28 x 20 cm shallow cake mold with parchment paper.
Simmer
Heat butter, orange zest, corn syrup, and sugar over low heat in a large pot.
Mix and transfer to mold
Once the butter is melted, add oats. Pour the mixture into the mold and smooth the surface.
Bake
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until the edges start to turn color (the mixture will still be very soft at this point, but will harden after cooling). Let it cool in the mold.
Cut
Remove the whole piece from the mold, and cut it into thin strips.
