Osmanthus Rolls

Ingredients

flour 500 g
parsley (for garnish) a pinch
dried osmanthus flowers to taste
sugar to taste
yeast 1 tsp

Instructions

1

Step 1

Dissolve the yeast in a small amount of warm water, then add it to the flour along with a pinch of sugar. Knead into a smooth dough and set it in a warm place to proof.

2

Step 2

Once the dough has risen, divide it into 100 g portions. Shape each piece, press it flat, and roll from the center outward into an even square wrapper.

3

Step 3

Sprinkle the square wrapper evenly with a layer of dried osmanthus flowers, then another layer of sugar. Roll up from one side and seal the edge.

4

Step 4

Let the shaped rolls proof for another 30 minutes to form the raw osmanthus rolls.

5

Step 5

Place the raw osmanthus rolls into a steamer and steam over high heat for about 15 minutes.

6

Step 6

Remove, let cool briefly, cut into sections, arrange on a plate, and garnish with parsley on top before serving.
