Pickled Mustard Pork Intestine Soup

Pickled Mustard Pork Intestine Soup

Ingredients

pork small intestine (clean with garlic, blanch with spare ribs, cut into segments after cooking) 1
spare ribs (blanch, discard after cooking) 640 g
Chaozhou pickled mustard (slice, soak in light salt water for 30 minutes, drain) 160 g
water 20 cup
garlic (for cleaning pork small intestine) 1 clove
salt (for seasoning and soaking pickled mustard) to taste
MSG to taste

Step 1

Clean the pork small intestine with garlic, blanch together with the spare ribs, and set aside.

Slice the pickled mustard, soak in light salt water for 30 minutes, drain and set aside.

Bring water to a rolling boil, add the spare ribs and pork small intestine and cook until tender; discard the spare ribs. Remove the pork small intestine, cut into segments, return it to the soup, add the sliced pickled mustard and cook for a few minutes. Season with salt or MSG to taste.
