Pineapple Sweet and Sour Pork

Ingredients

pork 200g
green bell pepper 1/2
salt to taste
caster sugar 2 tablespoons
cooking wine 1 teaspoon
egg 1
pepper a pinch
pineapple 1/4
red bell pepper 1/2
ketchup 3 teaspoons
white vinegar 1 teaspoon
cornstarch 50g
soy sauce 1 teaspoon
cooking oil to taste

Instructions

1

Step 1

Main ingredients: pork, pineapple, green and red bell peppers

2

Step 2

Cut green and red bell peppers into diamond shapes

3

Step 3

Cut pork into slightly thick slices, then gently pound each slice with the back of a knife to tenderize

4

Step 4

Place the prepared pork in a bowl, add a pinch of salt, pepper, cooking wine, and cornstarch. Mix well and marinate for 10 minutes

5

Step 5

Add half of the beaten egg to the marinated pork slices and mix well

6

Step 6

Coat the pork slices evenly with dry cornstarch. While coating, you can loosely roll the slices; this helps achieve a crispy exterior and tender interior when fried

7

Step 7

Heat oil in a pan to about 50-60% heat. Add the coated pork slices and fry until set, then remove. Increase oil temperature to 80% and fry the slices again until crispy, then remove

8

Step 8

Also briefly fry the green and red bell peppers in hot oil, then quickly remove

9

Step 9

Set aside the fried bell peppers and pork slices together

10

Step 10

In a new pan, add a little cooking oil, then add ketchup and caster sugar

11

Step 11

Add a little water, one spoon of white vinegar, and one spoon of soy sauce.

12

Step 12

Stir-fry over low heat until the sauce thickens and bubbles

13

Step 13

Add the fried pork slices, bell peppers, and pineapple pieces. Stir-fry quickly

14

Step 14

Stir-fry quickly to coat all ingredients with sauce, then turn off the heat.
