Pineapple Upside-Down Cake

Ingredients

White cake mix 1 box
Pineapple chunks (drained) 1 can (20 oz)
Brown sugar 1 cup
Butter (melted) 4 tbsp
Pineapple slices (for garnish) to taste
Maraschino cherries (for garnish) to taste

Baking the cake

Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare cake batter according to package directions. Drain the pineapple chunks and mix with brown sugar and melted butter. Pour the pineapple mixture into a greased jelly roll pan. Carefully pour the cake batter over this mixture to cover. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes, then invert the pan to reveal the pineapple side. Assemble once cooled again.

Assembly

Use the open end of a push-pop mold to cut circles from the cake. Place a piece of cake at the bottom of the push-pop mold, pineapple side up. Place another piece of cake on top. Fill the mold with cake circles, and decorate the top with a pineapple slice and a maraschino cherry.
