Pumpkin Pork Rib Pot

Ingredients

pumpkin (peeled and cubed) 300 g
pork ribs (washed and chopped into small pieces) 200 g
green onions (cut into small segments) 2
onion (cut into small pieces) 50 g
minced garlic 5 g
minced ginger 10 g
sambal chili paste (Malaccan sambal) 1 tbsp
salt 1/4 tsp
white sugar 1/2 tsp
water 400 ml
fresh milk 20 ml
salad oil 2 tbsp

Instructions

1

Prepare the ingredients

Rinse the pork ribs and chop into small pieces. Peel the pumpkin and cut into cubes. Cut the green onions into small segments and cut the onion into small pieces. Set aside.

2

Sauté the aromatics

Heat the salad oil in a wok over low heat. Sauté the green onions, onion, minced garlic, and minced ginger until fragrant, then add the pork ribs and stir-fry until the surface of the ribs turns white.

3

Braise the ribs

Add the sambal chili paste to the wok and stir-fry briefly to release its aroma. Pour in the water, cover, and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes until the pork ribs are fully tender.

4

Season and reduce the sauce

Stir in the milk, salt, and white sugar and cook for about 3 minutes, until the sauce has reduced slightly.
