Purple Sweet Potato Two-Tone Snow Skin Mooncake
With mooncake season here again, I got busy and made a few snow skin mooncakes. I only had a limited amount of ingredients at home, so I made just five or six.

Step 2
Add milk, corn oil, and sugar to the flour mixture.
Step 3
Stir well until combined.
Step 4
Cover with plastic wrap and steam in a steamer for 25 minutes.
Step 5
Remove and use chopsticks to stir a few times, gather into a ball, and let cool slightly.
Step 6
Knead on a silicone mat until smooth.
Step 7
Take a small portion of dough, knead in some cocoa powder to get a small piece of cocoa-colored dough.
Step 8
Bake the purple sweet potatoes until cooked.
Step 9
Peel the purple sweet potatoes and place the flesh in a bowl.
Step 10
Add an appropriate amount of milk. You can also add honey or condensed milk, and add more sugar if it's not sweet enough.
Step 11
Stir and mash into a paste.
Step 12
Roll the purple sweet potato filling into small balls.
Step 13
Divide the white dough into 6 equal portions, roll each into a ball, flatten one portion, and place the filling inside.
Step 14
Push the edges up so the dough wraps around the filling, then seal the opening.
Step 15
Take a small piece of cocoa-colored dough and press it onto the floral pattern of the mooncake mold.
Step 16
Place the wrapped mooncake inside.
Step 17
Press with the mooncake mold to shape the mooncake.

Once all are done, the size of the cocoa-colored dough can vary as you like.

Chill briefly before serving.
Step 20
Delicious!
