Ingredients

Brownie batter (use your favorite recipe or mix) to taste
white ready-to-use fondant (for making body parts) about 2 oz per dessert
dark cocoa candy melts (for coating and gluing) to taste
mini chocolate marshmallow candies (cut into 3/4×3/8 inch logs for arms) 1
cone-shaped corn snacks (for broom bristles) to taste
pretzel rod (for broom handle) 1

Instructions

1

Prepare brownie base

Prep ahead: Bake the brownies and let them cool (bake in a silicone mold lined with parchment paper, fill 2/3 full). Coat with melted candy (p.130), let excess pool around the bottom to create a melting effect. Chill until set.

2

Prepare witch hat and head

At the same time, prepare the witch hat and head (see p.125).

3

Make arms

Cut the marshmallow candies into 3/4×3/8 inch logs for arms, attach with melted candy.

4

Make hands

Flatten ½ inch fondant balls, cut slits to create finger shapes. Attach to the arms with melted candy.

5

Make brooms

Shape 1×1¼ inch fondant triangles into broom bristles, cut off ¼ inch from the tip and score with a knife. Attach the bristles to the pretzel rod with melted candy, then attach to the hands.

6

Assemble

Attach the head and hat with melted candy. Each serving is for 1 person.
