Shrimp and Tofu Soup
A thickened soup made with shrimp and tofu as the main ingredients, combined with winter bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and shredded pork.

shiitake mushrooms (soaked until soft)

cornstarch (mixed with water to make a slurry for thickening)

Instructions

Step 1
Cut the tofu into small cubes, slice the bamboo shoots, cut the pork into strips, and soak the shiitake mushrooms until soft for later use.

Heat oil in a wok until hot, add the pork strips, shiitake mushrooms, and bamboo shoots, and stir-fry until cooked.

Step 3
Add about 500 g of water and bring to a boil, then add the shrimp, tofu, salt, MSG, and cooking wine. Finally, stir in the cornstarch slurry to thicken and transfer to a soup bowl to serve.
