Yam 1 piece
Purple potato 1 piece
Carrot 1 piece
Water as needed

Instructions

Prepare the vegetables

Peel and wash the yam, then cut it into segments. Peel and wash the purple potato and carrot, then slice them.

Set up the steamer

Add water to a pot, ensuring the level does not reach the steamer rack. Place the rack inside the pot.

Steam the yam and purple potato

Place the yam and purple potato segments on a plate, then set the plate on the steamer rack. Cover the pot, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium heat and steam for about 8 minutes.

Add the carrot and finish steaming

Check the yam and purple potato; when they are soft enough to pierce easily with a chopstick, add the carrot slices. Continue steaming until all vegetables are tender.
