This simplified method uses fresh rice noodle sheets that are spread flat, filled, and then carefully rolled before a brief steam. The result is tender, comforting, and perfect for a quick dim sum-style meal at home.

Ingredients

fresh rice noodle sheets 3 large sheets
ground pork or beef 100 g
eggs 2
fresh greens (such as bok choy or lettuce), washed and torn a handful
cooking oil for brushing

Prepare the fillings

Season the ground meat with a pinch of salt. Crack the eggs into a bowl and lightly beat. Tear the washed greens into small pieces.

Fill and roll the noodles

Lay a rice noodle sheet flat on a clean surface. Spread a portion of the seasoned ground meat, a drizzle of beaten egg, and a few pieces of greens across the center. Carefully roll the sheet up tightly around the fillings, pressing the edges to seal.

Steam the rolls

Place the rolled noodles seam-side down in a steamer. Steam over high heat for about 8–10 minutes, until the filling is cooked through and the noodles are translucent and tender.

Serve

Remove from the steamer, let cool slightly, and cut into bite-sized pieces. Serve warm with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
