Steamed Scallops with Chopped Chili

Scallops are marinated, topped with chopped chili paste, steamed over high heat, and finished with a drizzle of chili oil.

Steamed Scallops with Chopped Chili

Ingredients

Scallops (soaked and rinsed in light salt water) 500 g
Scallions (finely chopped) a pinch
Ginger (minced) to taste
Garlic (minced) to taste
Salt to taste
Chopped chili sauce 1 tbsp
Chili oil to taste

Instructions

Step 1

Peel and rinse the scallions, then finely chop them. Peel the garlic, rinse, and mince. Wash the ginger and mince it as well. Set everything aside.

Soak the scallops in light salt water for a while, then rinse them clean. Evenly rub salt over the scallop meat and marinate for a few minutes. Then place the minced ginger and garlic on top of the scallop meat and spread the chopped chili sauce over them.

Place the prepared scallops in a steamer and steam over high heat for about 8 minutes. Remove the scallops, sprinkle with the chopped scallions, and drizzle with chili oil before serving.
