Stir-Fried Beef and Carrot Strips

Story

This simple stir-fry balances the richness of beef with the sweetness of carrots and the aromatic punch of garlic chives. It comes together quickly, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Beef tenderloin, cut into strips 200g
Carrot, cut into strips 1 medium
Garlic chives, white and green parts separated 2 stalks
Dried chili peppers (or millet chilies) to taste
Rapeseed oil 2 tbsp
Premium light soy sauce (for marinating) 1 tbsp
Salt to taste

Instructions

Marinate the beef

Marinate the beef strips with premium light soy sauce and the chopped white parts of the garlic chives for about 15 minutes.

Aromatics

Heat the wok with rapeseed oil. Add the remaining white parts of the garlic chives and the dried chili peppers; stir-fry until fragrant.

Stir-fry beef

Add the marinated beef strips to the wok. Stir-fry until the beef changes color slightly.

Add carrots

Toss in the carrot strips and stir-fry until they have softened slightly.

Finish seasoning

Add the green parts of the garlic chives and salt. Stir-fry everything together until evenly mixed and serve.
