Stir-fried Dried Tofu with Garlic Shoots

Ingredients

dried tofu (washed, cut into shreds, blanched, and drained) 200 g
garlic shoots (cleaned and cut into 3 cm segments) 100 g
peanut oil to taste
soy sauce a pinch
fine salt a pinch
MSG to taste
sesame oil to taste
chicken broth a pinch

Instructions

1

Preparation

Wash the dried tofu and cut it into shreds. Blanch in boiling water and drain well. Clean the garlic shoots and cut them into 3 cm segments.

2

Stir-frying

Place a wok over heat and add peanut oil. When the oil is about 60–70% hot, add the garlic shoots and stir-fry briefly. Add the dried tofu shreds and a little fresh broth, and stir-fry until the liquid is nearly evaporated. Add soy sauce and a pinch of fine salt, stir a few times, season with MSG, drizzle with sesame oil, and serve.
