Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients: 2 tomatoes and half a winter melon. The small winter melon I bought was just over 1 kg (2 jin), so I eat half at a time and finish it in two servings.
Step 2
Cut the winter melon in half, peel it, and cut into small pieces. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into small pieces as well.
Step 3
Pour a small amount of oil into the pan, then add the tomatoes and stir-fry.
Step 4
Stir-fry the tomatoes until they become saucy, then add the winter melon pieces and stir everything together evenly.
Step 5
After stirring well, add an appropriate amount of water.
Step 6
Once it comes to a boil, add a pinch of salt to season.
Step 7
Dishes with tomatoes can taste a bit sour, so add some sugar for a sweet-and-sour flavor that tastes better.
Step 8
A simple and nutritious home-cooked summer dish that clears heat and helps beat the heat—delicious and affordable.
