Walnut and Pork Intestine Soup

Ingredients

pork large intestine (washed, blanched for 3 minutes, rinsed in cold water, cut into small sections) 500 g
cooked rehmannia root (washed) 60 g
walnut meat (blanched to remove skin) 90 g

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients

Blanch the walnuts in boiling water and remove their skins; wash the cooked rehmannia root and red dates (pitted); wash the pork large intestine, blanch in boiling water for 3 minutes, rinse under cold water, and cut into small sections.

Simmer the Soup

Place all ingredients into a pot, add an appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low heat and simmer for 3 hours; season to taste before serving.
