Yam and Corn Pork Rib Soup

Chinese yam is often steamed or stewed to support digestion and immunity. This soup combines yam and corn with pork ribs for a comforting, nourishing broth.

Yam and Corn Pork Rib Soup

Ingredients

Chinese yam 420g
Corn 1 ear
Pork ribs 600g
Green onion a little
Water appropriate amount
Salt appropriate amount
Cooking wine a little
Ginger 1 piece

Instructions

Step 1

Wash the pork ribs and set aside.

Wash the green onion and ginger.

First blanch the pork ribs, adding cooking wine, green onion, and ginger.

Peel, wash, and cut the yam into chunks.

Cut the corn into chunks as well.

Remove the blanched pork ribs and transfer to a clay pot.

Add the yam and corn, and add enough water at once.

Bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat and stew until the ribs are soft and tender.
