Ingredients

egg whites 2
icing sugar 50 g
melted salted butter 30 g
flour 30 g
chopped or slivered almonds 60 g
butter (for greasing the pan) 20 g

Instructions

1

Preheat the oven to 210°C (gas mark 7). Whisk the egg whites and icing sugar until slightly frothy. Add the flour, then the melted butter, and mix with a spatula.

2

Shaping

Butter the baking sheet and lightly dust it with flour. Place small mounds of batter on the sheet, spacing them about 3 cm apart. Flatten the surface with the back of a knife, then sprinkle with almonds.

3

Baking

Bake in the oven for about 8 minutes.

4

Shaping the tuiles

As soon as they come out of the oven, while still hot, shape the tuiles by rolling them around a rolling pin or a tuile mold.
