Apple Tart

Ingredients

firm cooking apples (peeled, cored, and sliced) 750 g
unbaked tart shell (10 in (25 cm)) 1
sugar 90 g
apricot glaze to taste

Instructions

1

Prepare the apples

Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples; you should end up with about 600 g of apple slices.

2

Arrange the filling

Spread the apple slices in the tart shell. Reserve the best, most even slices for the top, arranging them in an overlapping concentric pattern (like fish scales).

3

Sprinkle with sugar

Sprinkle the sugar evenly over the apples.

4

Bake

Bake in a 200°C (400°F) oven for about 45 minutes, until the crust is browned and the apples are tender.

5

Glaze

Once cooled, brush with the apricot glaze.
