Black Tea Pork Floss Rice Balls
“These rice balls are incredibly easy to make. When cooking the rice, be sure to nail the rice-to-water ratio to get a perfect texture that’s neither too hard nor too mushy. Unlike standard rice balls, these have a delicate black tea aroma, never feel heavy or boring no matter how much you eat, and are wonderfully appetizing. Add this simple extra step when making rice balls for your kids, and you’ll end up with uniquely delicious rice balls that only get better with every bite. Without further ado, let’s walk through how to make them.”

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. For the rice, I'm using Joyoung fresh rice—the benefit is that you only need one cup of water to one cup of rice, and it will definitely cook to just the right texture. Choose pork floss flavor based on your personal preference.
Step 2
Pour boiling water over the black tea to steep and release its fragrant flavor. I like orange black tea; the aroma is especially pleasant.
Step 3
Pour one cup of the tea water into the rice, cover with the lid, and start the cook button. It will be ready in about ten-plus minutes.
Step 4
The cooked rice is especially fragrant with perfect moisture. While it's still hot, add the mixture of rice vinegar, salt, and sugar, and stir well with chopsticks.
Step 5
Add the pork floss and mix well. You can also add a little sesame—it tastes great too.
Step 6
While the rice is still warm, place it into a rice ball mold and press to shape.
