Blueberry Jam

Story

A delightful and versatile fruit preserve crafted from fresh, juicy blueberries. This vibrant jam captures the natural essence of the berries, making it a perfect topping for morning toast, pancakes, or a sweet addition to your favorite baked goods.

Ingredients

blueberries 375g
white sugar 125g
lemon juice 25g
cooled boiled water 200g

Instructions

1

Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. 375g of blueberries, 125g of white sugar, and half a lemon is enough. If you prefer it sweeter, the white sugar can be increased to 150g.

2

Step 2

Wash the blueberries clean with water. Washing them a few more times is always right. After washing, put them into a stainless steel basin.

3

Step 3

Scatter the white sugar into the blueberries, use a spoon or other tool to crush the blueberries, and stir. If you prefer more chunks, you can just crush half of them; if you prefer a fine texture, use a blender to puree them. Afterwards, add 200g of boiled water and stir a bit.

4

Step 4

Place the stirred blueberries on the stove and bring to a boil over medium-low heat. After boiling for 10 minutes, add the lemon juice from half a lemon, about 25g.

5

Step 5

Continue to cook over medium-low heat. Cook until the jam is slightly thick, but not very thick yet, then turn off the heat. Do not cook until it is too dry, as the jam will thicken a little more after the heat is turned off.

6

Step 6

Boil the glass jars for storing the jam in boiling water for a few minutes. Do not throw the plastic lids of the bottles in to boil as well; that's what I did, and the lids were completely ruined~~

Step 7

Bottle the jam while it is hot, seal it for preservation, and put it in the refrigerator after it cools down. The storage time is about 7 days. Just eat it as soon as possible.
