Story

This beloved dish offers a comforting blend of textures and flavors, perfectly balancing the savory richness of juicy pork with the sweet depth of sautéed onions. It stands as a delicious example of fusion cuisine, marrying classic meat preparation techniques with a distinctly tangy, Worcestershire-inspired sauce to create a truly satisfying and hearty meal.

Ingredients

pork chops (pounded loose, marinated for about 20 minutes) 4 pieces (about 180 g)
onion (shredded) 1/2 head
Western sauce to taste
cornstarch 1 teaspoon
salt a pinch
cooking wine 1 teaspoon
meat tenderizer 1/6 teaspoon
water 1 teaspoon
onion

Instructions

1

Marinate Pork Chops

Pound the pork chops to tenderize, marinate for about 20 minutes, and set aside.

2

Prepare Onion

Cut the onion into julienne and set aside.

3

Soft Deep-Fry Pork Chops

Heat a wok, pour in an appropriate amount of oil, and heat over medium heat to about 150°C. Add the pork chops from Step 1 into the wok, soft deep-fry for about 30 seconds, then remove and drain the oil.

4

Braise and Stir-Fry

In a separate wok with oil, stir-fry the julienned onion from Step 2 until fragrant. Add the deep-fried pork chops from Step 3 and the Western sauce, and stir-fry everything together briefly.
