This simple congee combines fluffy rice porridge with savory minced meat and the fresh aroma of celery.

Rice as needed
Celery as needed
Minced meat as needed
Cooking oil as needed
Cooking wine a little
Light soy sauce a little
Cilantro as needed
Water as needed

Instructions

Prep the ingredients

Remove the roots and yellow leaves from the celery, wash it clean, and mince it. Wash the rice clean and set aside.

Cook the congee

Add water to a pot and bring to a boil over high heat. Add the rice and cook until the grains are soft and the congee is thick.

Stir-fry the meat mixture

Heat oil in a wok. Add the minced meat and stir-fry. Add a little cooking wine and light soy sauce. Add the minced cilantro and stir-fry for a few moments, then turn off the heat.

Combine and serve

Combine the stir-fried meat and cilantro mixture with the cooked congee. Mix well and serve hot.
