Ingredients

butter (softened) 1⁄2 cup
packed brown sugar 2⁄3 cup
egg yolks 2
vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
all-purpose flour 11⁄2 cups
baking powder 1⁄2 teaspoon
salt 1⁄2 teaspoon
baking soda 1⁄4 teaspoon
miniature marshmallows 3 cups
light corn syrup (TOPPING) 2⁄3 cup
butter (TOPPING) 1⁄4 cup
peanut butter chips (TOPPING) 1 package (10 ounces)
vanilla extract (TOPPING) 2 teaspoons
crisp rice cereal (TOPPING) 2 cups
salted peanuts (TOPPING) 2 cups

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the egg yolks and vanilla; mix well. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda; add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Press into a greased 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350°F for 12-15 minutes or until golden. Sprinkle the marshmallows over the top; return to the oven until the marshmallows begin to puff, about 2 minutes. Cool.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet combine the corn syrup, butter, chips, and vanilla; cook over low heat, stirring until the chips melt and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat; stir in the cereal and peanuts. Spread the warm topping evenly over the marshmallow layer. Refrigerate until firm.
