Chocolate Chip Cookies
Classic chocolate chip cookies with a moist, soft texture—simple to make.
Ingredients
soft butter
115 g
superfine icing sugar
115 g
egg (lightly beaten)
1
vanilla extract
1 tsp
all-purpose flour
175 g
dark chocolate chips
175 g
Instructions
1
Prepare the oven and cream the butter
Preheat the oven to 180°C (th. 6). Lightly grease 2 or 3 large baking sheets or line them with baking paper. In a large bowl or stand mixer, cream the butter and sugar until the mixture is pale and fluffy.
2
Mix in the wet ingredients
Add the egg and vanilla extract.
3
Add the dry ingredients and shape
Fold in the flour along with the chocolate chips and mix until evenly combined. Using a lightly tapped spoon or another utensil, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving enough space for the cookies to spread.
4
Flatten and bake
Gently flatten each cookie with the back of a fork, keeping the shapes as even as possible. Bake for about 10 minutes, until golden.
5
Cool
Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool using a metal spatula.
