egg 1
margarine or butter, cut into pieces 1/4 cup (1.5 lb) / 1/3 cup (2 lb)
bread flour 3 cup (1.5 lb) / 4 cup (2 lb)
sugar 1 tbsp (1.5 lb) / 4 tsp (2 lb)

ground cinnamon 1 tsp (1.5 lb) / 1 1/4 tsp (2 lb)
margarine or butter, melted, for brushing 1 tbsp (1.5 lb) / 4 tsp (2 lb)

Instructions

1

Making the Dough

Choose the recipe size. Add the first 7 ingredients to the bread machine according to the manufacturer's instructions. Select the "Dough" cycle. When the cycle ends, remove the dough, deflate it, cover, and let rest for 10 minutes.

2

Shaping

Grease a baking sheet. Divide the 1.5 lb dough into 3 portions and the 2 lb dough into 4 portions. Pat each portion with your palm into a round about 7 inches in diameter. Transfer to the baking sheet and poke holes in the surface with your fingertips. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes.

Topping and Baking

In a small bowl, mix the coarse sugar and ground cinnamon. Brush the melted butter over the surface of the dough and sprinkle with the sugar-cinnamon mixture. Bake in a 350°F (about 175°C) oven for 15-20 minutes until the edges are golden. Cut into pieces and serve warm or cold.
