Creamy Vegetable Salad Dressing
A creamy dressing for vegetable salads, with adjustable color and consistency.
Ingredients
Sour cream (placed in working bowl)
about 1 cup
Creamy Dijon mustard (for color adjustment)
to taste
Light cream (for dilution)
a small amount
Oil-based salad dressing or marinade (optional, for dilution)
a small amount
Instructions
1
Base Mixing
Place about 1 cup of sour cream in a working bowl. If you prefer not to have pure white, you can add creamy Dijon mustard to adjust the color.
2
Reserve Dressing
Prepare a sufficient amount of dressing, and set aside about 1/4 cup for touch-ups at the shooting location.
3
Adjust Consistency
The dressing should be thin enough to coat the ingredients, yet thick enough to adhere to the surface. If dilution is needed, add a small amount of light cream, oil-based salad dressing, or marinade.
