Step 1
Ingredients picture. Prepare the toast, ham slices, and cheese. Beat the eggs and set aside.
Step 2
Trim a little off the edge of the round ham slice, and place it on a slice of toast.
Step 3
Place the cheese slice on top of the ham.
Step 4
Trim both sides of another ham slice and lay it on top of the cheese.
Step 5
Cover with another slice of toast.

Cut off the crusts of the toast. (You can dip the cut-off crusts in the remaining egg mixture and fry them in a pan after the French toast is done. They are crispy and especially delicious!)
Step 7
Place it in the egg mixture and coat both sides evenly.
Step 8
Place it in a flat-bottomed pan and pan-fry both sides until golden brown.
Step 9
Remove from the pan, cut into triangles, and arrange on a plate. Garnish with chopped celery and serve.
