This culinary creation presents tender slices of beef tenderloin, perfectly pan-seared and accompanied by crispy fries, all elevated by a rich and savory mushroom red wine sauce.

Ingredients

Beef tenderloin (cut into 4 thick slices, pricked with knife tip) 1 piece (approx. 200g)
Potato (washed, peeled, cut into strips 6cm long and 1cm thick, soaked in water) 100g
Ground black pepper 2/3 tsp
Salt (for sprinkling over potato strips) A pinch
Cooking oil (for frying potato strips and pan-frying steak) 1 cup
Mushroom red wine sauce (pour over the finished dish) As needed

Instructions

Prepare the beef tenderloin

Cut the beef tenderloin into four thick slices, prick small holes with the tip of a knife, sprinkle ground black pepper on both sides, and marinate for later use.

Prepare the potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes, cut into strips 6 cm long and 1 cm thick, rinse in water, then deep fry in hot oil until golden yellow. Remove to drain, sprinkle with salt, and mix well.

Pan-fry the steak

Heat the pan over heat, add cooking oil and heat it up, place the steak in and pan-fry until both sides are colored and 80% cooked, then remove.

Plating

Place the steak and potato strips on a plate, drizzle with mushroom red wine sauce to serve.
