Instructions
Coating with batter
Peel the banana and cut it into chunks, coat lightly with a small amount of dry starch. Crack the egg into a bowl, add flour, starch, water and a little oil, then stir to form a batter.
Deep frying
Pour oil into a pan and heat it up. Coat each banana chunk with the prepared batter one by one, then put them into the oil and fry until golden brown. Once the banana pieces float to the surface, remove them and drain off excess oil.
Coating with sugar syrup
Clean the pan, add a small amount of clear water and white sugar. Stir-fry until the syrup turns yellow and starts to form small bubbles, then add the fried banana pieces and toss several times. Transfer the bananas to a plate greased with oil, and serve with a small bowl of cold water on the side.
