Salted Egg Yolk Braised Tofu

Step 1
Steam the salted egg yolks in advance.

Mash them with a spoon or any other available tool.

Tear off the surface seal of the silken tofu box, turn the box upside down, and cut small notches at the four corners.

Blow air into the inside so the tofu comes off easily, then cut into pieces.

Heat a small amount of oil in a wok over low heat.

Add the mashed egg yolks and stir-fry until bubbles appear.

Add a small amount of water and bring to a boil.

Add the tofu.

Add a small amount of salt and chicken essence to season.

Finally, thicken with a cornstarch slurry.
