Sweet and Sour Red Bell Pepper
A Sichuan-style vegetarian dish: red bell pepper chunks are stir-fried until tender, then seasoned with sugar, vinegar, and salt. The peppers retain a glossy red color and deliver a well-balanced sweet-and-sour flavor.
Ingredients
red bell pepper (washed, stem and seeds removed, cut into long strips)
500 g
sesame oil
40 g
vinegar
40 g
salt
5 g
sugar
60 g
Instructions
1
Prepare the peppers
Wash the red bell peppers in clean water, remove the stems and seeds, and cut into long strips.
2
Stir-fry to finish
Heat a wok and add oil. First add the red bell peppers and stir-fry until cooked, then add salt and sugar and stir-fry, followed by vinegar and stir evenly to finish.
