Tuna Rice Bowl

Story

This versatile dish works beautifully as a quick lunch or light dinner. The creamy tuna mixture also makes a wonderful sandwich filling if you have any leftovers.

Ingredients

Canned tuna in water, drained 1 can (about 140g)
Fresh or frozen corn kernels 1/2 cup
Mayonnaise or creamy salad dressing 2 tablespoons
White sesame seeds 1 tablespoon
Black sesame seeds 1 teaspoon
Nori seaweed strips 2-3 sheets
Salt a pinch
Cooked rice 2 bowls

Cook the corn

Bring a small pot of water to a gentle boil. Add the corn kernels and a pinch of salt. Let them cook for 2-3 minutes until tender, then drain and set aside to cool slightly.

Make the tuna mixture

In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, cooked corn kernels, mayonnaise, and white sesame seeds. Stir everything together until well coated and creamy.

Assemble and serve

Divide the cooked rice between two bowls. Spoon the tuna mixture over the rice. Garnish with nori seaweed strips and sprinkle black sesame seeds on top. Serve immediately and enjoy!
