White Chocolate Chip Cookies

A variation of American handmade cookies, made with white chocolate and walnuts and featuring a milk caramel flavor.

White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

Unsalted butter 125g (4 oz)
Light brown sugar 60g (2 oz)
Brown sugar 75g (2.5 oz)
Egg 1
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
All-purpose flour 180g (6 oz)
Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
White chocolate (cut into bean-sized chunks) 150g (3 oz)
Walnuts (chopped) 60g (2 oz)

Instructions

Step 1

Melt the butter, then beat in 2 spoonfuls of sugar until soft and fluffy. Lightly beat the egg with the vanilla extract, then gradually add to the butter mixture a little at a time.

Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt together, then fold into the butter-egg mixture from Step 2. Fold in the chopped chocolate and nuts.

Roll the dough into 3.5 cm (1.5 inch) balls and place on parchment paper, spacing them 2.5 cm (1 inch) apart. Flatten the dough with the palm of your hand.

Bake in a preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. After baking, let sit on the parchment paper for a few minutes to cool, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
