Whole Wheat Scallion Flower Rolls

Whole Wheat Scallion Flower Rolls

Ingredients

flour 300g
whole wheat flour 100g
water 230g
yeast 3g
cooking oil as needed
scallions as needed

Instructions

Step 1

Mix flour, whole wheat flour, yeast and water until well combined, then knead into a dough. The dough should be slightly soft.

Let the dough proof until it doubles in size, then transfer it to a work surface, add a small amount of dry flour, and knead until smooth.

Roll the dough into a rectangle, brush with oil, sprinkle with scallions, then roll it up.

Cut the dough into equal-sized small pieces, stretch each piece into a long strip, twist the two ends in opposite directions, press and seal the top tightly. Let the shaped dough proof for another 20 minutes.

Place the dough in a pot of boiling water and steam for 18 minutes, then the soft, fluffy flower rolls are ready to serve.
