Wash the coix seeds and soak them in water for one hour; wash the goji berries and set aside. Peel the winter melon and cut it into chunks. Remove the internal organs of the crucian carp, wash it clean, and set aside.

Place clear water in a pot, add the crucian carp and soaked coix seeds, and bring to a boil over high heat.

Once the water is boiling, add the green onion sections and ginger slices. Pour in a small amount of cooking wine, then switch to low heat and simmer slowly for 50 minutes.

After 50 minutes, add the winter melon chunks and continue to cook for 10 minutes.

Add the goji berries and cook for another 5 minutes.
