Ingredients

White fondant (some dyed rose and teal; reserve some white) As needed
Royal icing (prepared per recipe, for outlining and filling) As needed
Food coloring (Disney Princess color set: teal, rose, violet) As needed
Cookie dough (cut with medium round and heart-shaped cutters) As needed
White candy melts (for adhering) As needed
Disney Princess party topper (for decoration) As needed
Wilton tip (for outlining and dot flower centers) #2
Floral cutter/pressor set (for making fondant flowers) 1 set

Instructions

1

Prepare the cookies

Prepare and roll out the cookie dough. For each dessert, cut 1 medium round and 1 medium heart. Cut ½ inch off the bottom of the heart cookie. Bake and cool.

2

Make the fondant flowers

Tint some of the fondant rose and teal; reserve some white. Roll the rose fondant to 1/16 inch thick. Use the pressor to make 8-flower combinations (2 flower shapes). Pipe dot flower centers with royal icing and a #2 tip. Dry on a cake board dusted with cornstarch.

3

Make the shells

Marble the white and teal fondant (p. 123). Shape into teardrops; mark ridges with a toothpick and let dry.

4

Outline the heart cookies

Outline the heart cookies with a #2 tip and full-strength royal icing. Fill with thin royal icing. Let dry.

5

Make the bows

Roll the rose fondant to 1/8 inch thick. Cut strips ¼ inch wide x 10 inches long, and shape into simple bows and streamers (p. 123). Roll a small piece of fondant into a ball, attach to the center of the bow with a wet brush; let dry.

6

Assemble

Flood the round cookies. Attach the heart cookies to the back edge of the round cookies with melted candy. Hold in place until set. Attach the flowers, shells, and bows to the heart cookies with royal icing. Add the topper.
