Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Story

These glossy, layered chocolate strawberries are a whimsical, crowd-pleasing treat that balances the bright tang of fresh berries with the deep, creamy richness of dark and white chocolate and a pleasant crunch from crushed peanuts, ideal for everything from casual family gatherings to festive party platters.

Ingredients

strawberry (gently brushed clean with a soft bristle brush, patted dry of excess moisture) 250g
dark chocolate chunks (melted over a double boiler) 75g
white chocolate chunks (melted over a double boiler) 75g
crushed peanuts 25g

Instructions

1

Step 1

Gently brush the strawberries clean with a soft bristle brush, then pat them completely dry with specialized kitchen paper towels.

2

Step 2

Take two heat-resistant glass bowls, placing dark chocolate chunks in one and white chocolate chunks in the other; set a soup pot over heat, pour in half a pot of water and bring to a rolling boil. Place the two glass bowls holding dark and white chocolate chunks into the boiling water respectively so they float on the water surface. Wait for the chocolate chunks in the bowls to melt fully, then remove the bowls and let the melted chocolate cool to a warm temperature.

3

Step 3

Hold the strawberry by its stem, dip the top two-thirds of the strawberry into the melted dark chocolate solution, place it on parchment paper, and wait for the chocolate to set.

4

Step 4

Dip the dark chocolate-coated top section of the strawberry approximately one-third deep into the melted white chocolate solution, place it on parchment paper as well, and wait for the chocolate to set slightly.

5

Step 5

Fully coat the one-third section of the strawberry top that is covered in white chocolate with crushed peanuts, arrange the finished strawberries on a serving plate, place them in the refrigerator's refrigeration compartment to chill for 10 minutes, and they are ready to serve.
