Prepare the peeled mung beans.

Rinse thoroughly with clean water and soak overnight.
Step 3
The soaked mung beans should be plump and full.
Step 4
Drain the water, spread evenly on a steaming tray, and steam for 50 minutes.
Step 5
While the steamed mung beans are still hot, add sugar.
Step 6
Mash into a paste with a spoon.
Step 7
Prepare the butter.
Step 8
Put the butter into a pan.
Step 9
Melt the butter over low heat.
Step 10
Add the mung bean paste to the pan and stir-fry over low heat.
Step 11
Stir-fry until the mung bean paste no longer sticks to the pan, then turn off the heat.

Let cool and shape into rounds.

Place the shaped paste into a mold and press into your desired shape.
