Form the batter
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Don't overmix—a few small lumps are totally fine.
Shape and fry
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Pipe or spoon donut shapes into the oil using a piping bag or zip-top bag with corner cut off. Fry each donut for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
