Story

The smooth, steamed egg custard offers a gentle texture that is easy for little ones to enjoy. Arranging ham sausage and nori into a playful pig face brings a smile to the table, while a light drizzle of soy sauce and sesame oil adds a warm, savory aroma just before serving.

Ingredients

Eggs 2
Ham sausage 1 slice
Nori a little
Salt a little
Light soy sauce to taste
Sesame oil to taste

Instructions

1

Step 1

Crack the eggs into a large bowl.

2

Step 2

Add a little salt, 1.5~2.0 times the amount of water as eggs, and beat evenly with chopsticks. At this time, you will see many bubbles.

3

Step 3

Skim off the bubbles clean with a spoon, or pass it through a sieve.

4

Step 4

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and poke a few small holes with a toothpick.

5

Step 5

Place into the pot with cold water; after bringing to a boil over high heat, turn to medium heat and steam for 10 minutes (depending on the size and depth of the container).

6

Step 6

Take out the egg custard 3 minutes after turning off the heat. Cut the pig's nose and ears out of the ham sausage, and cut the eyes, mouth, and nostrils out of the nori, then arrange them separately. You can drizzle a little light soy sauce and sesame oil when eating.
