Spicy Chicken and Youtiao Fried Rice

Ingredients

Chicken breast
Youtiao (cut into small segments)
Green pepper (cut into chunks)
Leftover rice
Garlic chili sauce
Dark soy sauce
Salt
Soy sauce (a few drops)

Instructions

1

Prepare Ingredients

Cut the chicken into small cubes, cut the green pepper into chunks, and cut the youtiao into small segments. Marinate the chicken with a pinch of salt for a while. If you want a more pronounced flavor, you can add a few drops of soy sauce, though the chicken will lose some of its color.

2

Stir-Fry Chicken

Stir-fry the chicken in hot oil until it changes color, then remove and drain off the oil.

3

Stir-Fry Rice

In the same pan, add the rice and stir-fry to break it apart. Add one tbsp of chili sauce and mix well. Add half a tbsp of dark soy sauce, then add the green pepper and chicken, and stir-fry until the green pepper is just cooked through.

4

Add Youtiao

Add the youtiao and give it a quick toss. (I didn't add any salt; if it doesn't taste salty enough, you can add a pinch more.)
