Quick Stir-Tossed Black Fungus Salad

Ingredients

Wood ear mushrooms (black fungus), soaked as needed
Carrot as needed
Onion as needed
Garlic as needed
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
MSG to taste
Vinegar to taste
Soy sauce to taste

Instructions

Prepare the fungus

Wash the soaked wood ear mushrooms thoroughly.

Cut the vegetables

Shred the carrot and slice the onion. Mince the garlic.

Make the sauce

In a bowl, combine the salt, sugar, MSG, vinegar, and soy sauce. Mix well until the sugar and salt dissolve.

Blanch the wood ear

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the wood ear mushrooms and blanch for about 30 seconds, then remove and drain.

Combine and serve

Toss the cooked wood ear mushrooms with the shredded carrot, onion, and garlic. Pour the sauce over the mixture and mix well to coat before serving.
