Rice-Companion Dish — Gongjin Exploding Eggs
Everyone online says it's delicious, so I had to try it—the ingredients are simple.
Note: I skipped the dark soy sauce in the seasoning below; light soy sauce alone is already dark enough. If you can't handle strong flavors, just reduce the sauce.

Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients.
Step 2
Add oil to the pan (if using a non-stick pan, add oil while the pan is cold).
Step 3
Add garlic and eggs.
Step 4
When the edges are slightly crispy, pour in the sauce.
Step 5
Cover with a lid and reduce the sauce over medium-high heat. I prefer it more well-done, so I let it simmer for 2 more minutes. If you like runny yolks, 2 minutes is enough. It depends on the heat of your gas stove.
Step 6
Here's the finished dish — it truly pairs well with rice. Personally, I eat very lightly seasoned food, so I find this overly salty and sweet; the sugar, tomato sauce, and light soy sauce can all be halved.
